Employment Type

Job Description
This is a varied paediatric Occupational Therapy role working across multiple environments including a secondary special school in Harrow, clinic-based sessions in Stratford and community/private paediatric support across London. The successful Occupational Therapist will support children presenting with a wide range of needs including autism spectrum condition (ASC), neurodevelopmental differences, sensory regulation difficulties, developmental delays, emotional regulation challenges and functional skills development needs.
The Occupational Therapist role offers excellent variety and would suit clinicians who enjoy relationship-led work, collaborative MDT environments and working closely with families, schools and wider SEND professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Occupational Therapy interventions across school, clinic and community settings
- Support children with sensory, developmental and functional skill needs
- Work collaboratively with families, school staff and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to EHCPs, reports and therapy planning where required
- Build strong therapeutic relationships with children and families
- Manage a varied paediatric caseload across multiple settings
- Support children with emotional regulation and sensory integration needs
Requirements
- Have the right to work within the UK (no sponsorship required)
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- 2 years minimum experience within Occupational Therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently across varied environments
- Relationship-led and collaborative approach to therapy
- Passion for supporting children and young people
- Interest in neurodevelopment, SEND and paediatric therapy
Also suitable for: Children’s Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapist, School-Based Occupational Therapist, SEND Occupational Therapist and Community Occupational Therapist. Previous paediatric Occupational Therapy experience would be beneficial, although the service is also open to:
- Developing paediatric Occupational Therapists
- Adult neuro or rehabilitation Occupational Therapists transitioning into paediatrics
- Clinicians with transferable SEND or neurodevelopmental experience
Additional experience in sensory regulation, autism, school-based therapy, community paediatrics or EHCP/report writing would also be advantageous.
