Job Description

As a School‑Based Occupational Therapist, you will provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention support to neurodiverse children and young people aged 2‑25 across schools, homes, community settings and clinic environments throughout Crondall (GU10) and surrounding areas: Farnborough, Basingstoke, Winchester, Southampton. Working within both private healthcare and private education settings, you will support children with autism, sensory processing differences, SEND needs, learning disabilities and other developmental needs through assessment, intervention and ongoing therapeutic support. As part of an established allied health team, you will carry out occupational therapy assessments, develop treatment plans, deliver therapy programmes, contribute to EHCP processes and provide detailed reports. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop specialist paediatric skills within a respected service that values learning, collaboration and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality occupational therapy assessments for children and young people
  • Support neurodiverse children with autism, sensory processing and developmental needs
  • Complete EHCP assessments and contribute to statutory documentation
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans
  • Provide therapy interventions within school, clinic, home and community settings
  • Prepare professional reports and clinical recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with families, education professionals and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
  • Provide advice, training and guidance to schools and families where appropriate
  • Contribute to service quality, safeguarding and professional standards

Requirements

  • Permanent right to work in the UK; sponsorship is not available
  • BSc Occupational Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification with HCPC registration
  • Minimum 2‑4 years of paediatric occupational therapy experience
  • Specialism in paediatrics, neurodiversity, autism, sensory processing, SEN, SEND and EHCP‑related practice
  • Ability to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate occupational therapy interventions independently
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building and report‑writing skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
