Job Description: As a Band 5 Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will manage a varied caseload across clinic, school, home and community environments, supporting children and young people aged 2–25 years with autism, sensory processing differences, developmental conditions, learning disabilities and complex needs. You will deliver evidence‑based assessment and intervention whilst working closely with families, education providers and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage an independent paediatric occupational therapy caseload
- Complete comprehensive occupational therapy and functional assessments
- Provide sensory processing assessments and intervention programmes
- Contribute to EHCP assessments and written reports
- Deliver therapy across clinics, schools, homes and community settings
- Work collaboratively with families, schools and multidisciplinary professionals
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome records
- Promote safeguarding, professional standards and HCPC requirements
- Participate in supervision, CPD and service development
- Support positive outcomes through family‑centred, evidence‑based practice
Requirements:
- Permanent right to work in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.
- HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
- Previous paediatric occupational therapy experience or significant paediatric placement experience suitable for a Band 5 role.
- Knowledge of paediatric occupational therapy, autism, sensory processing and child development.
- Confident completing assessments, intervention planning and clinical documentation.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with children, families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
