Working Hours & Shift Pattern:
- Full-time, all-year-round nursery role. Based in Westminster, London, SW1V.
- 40 hours per week preferred; minimum 30 hours per week may be considered
- Rotating shifts include 8:00am - 5:00pm and 9:00am - 6:00pm
- Supporting either the Baby Room or Toddler Room
- Face-to-face interview followed by a working trial as part of the process
Job Description:
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will be based within a welcoming nursery setting in Westminster/Pimlico, London, SW1V, supporting children aged 0-3 years across either the Baby Room or Toddler Room. The role is ideal for a childcare professional who enjoys delivering high-quality EYFS practice, supporting child development, building strong relationships with children and families, and working as part of a diverse and collaborative early years team. Key Responsibilities:
- Support children’s learning, development and wellbeing within a high-quality EYFS environment
- Work within either the Baby Room or Toddler Room, depending on nursery needs and experience
- Deliver engaging childcare practice that supports children’s confidence, curiosity and development
- Maintain safeguarding, welfare and nursery standards at all times
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Support children within a multilingual and multicultural learning environment
- Contribute to educational outings, outdoor learning and daily nursery routines
- Work closely with room teams to create a warm, inclusive and stimulating environment
- Communicate clearly and professionally with families and colleagues
- Demonstrate strong interaction with children and a positive team fit during practice
Requirements:
- Sponsorship / right to work: You must be eligible to work in the UK
- Qualification: Level 3 Childcare Qualification required
- Experience level: Minimum 1 year’s nursery experience
- Specialism: EYFS, childcare, baby room or toddler room experience preferred
- Capability: Able to support children’s development and maintain safeguarding standards
- Soft skill: Excellent communication skills with a reliable and committed approach
- Independence: Confident working as part of a room team while taking responsibility for high-quality daily practice
