Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience + benefits

Working Hours & Shift Pattern:

Based across specialist paediatric clinics in Bromley (BR2), Walthamstow and Kilburn as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team. 37.5 hours per week.

  • Wednesday to Friday: 11:00am – 7:00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Monday and Tuesday are non-working days

Job Description:

As a HCPC Registered Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will provide specialist paediatric occupational therapy services within a dedicated clinic setting supporting children and young people with autism, sensory, developmental, emotional and educational needs. You will deliver one-to-one occupational therapy, complete comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based intervention programmes within a calm, welcoming and child-focused environment.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to build specialist expertise in paediatric occupational therapy, allied health and private healthcare while working closely with families, schools, Speech and Language Therapists, Autism Specialists and other clinicians to support meaningful outcomes for neurodivergent children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one paediatric occupational therapy assessments and interventions
  • Complete comprehensive occupational therapy, functional, sensory and sensory integration assessments
  • Produce clear, detailed clinical reports, recommendations and practical strategies
  • Develop evidence-based intervention programmes tailored to each child’s individual presentation
  • Support sensory processing, functional independence, emotional regulation and motor development
  • Manage an independent paediatric caseload effectively across clinic settings
  • Work collaboratively with Speech and Language Therapists, Autism Specialists and multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Provide guidance and support to parents, carers, schools and educational settings
  • Participate in multidisciplinary assessments, service development and quality improvement
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HCPC standards and professional best practice

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is available for eligible HCPC-registered candidates.
  • HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum one year’s post-qualification Occupational Therapy experience.
  • Previous experience working with autistic children and young people with sensory, developmental or neurodevelopmental needs.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, report-writing and therapy planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with children, families, schools and multidisciplinary colleagues.
  • Able to manage an independent paediatric caseload while working collaboratively within a supportive team.
