Recruit by Nature is recruiting for two Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to join an accredited Montessori nursery and preschool in Ascot.
The setting combines Montessori education with the Early Years Foundation Stage and provides a carefully prepared, child-centred environment where children are encouraged to become independent, curious and confident.
Two positions are available:
- Under-2s/baby-room practitioner
- Over-2s/toddler and preschool practitioner
About the setting
You will work in a warm, supportive team with access to thoughtfully designed learning spaces and an outdoor classroom. The nursery places strong emphasis on relationships, individual development, learning through play and high-quality early years practice.
The setting is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from Ascot station, with nearby public transport and designated parking.
The role
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will provide warm, attentive care and engaging early education for children aged 0–5.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities through play
- Supporting children’s independence, curiosity, confidence and development
- Applying Montessori principles alongside the EYFS framework
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Supporting communication, language development, routines and settling-in
- Contributing to observations, records and learning plans
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment
- Following safeguarding, health and safety and child-development best practice
- Working collaboratively within the room team
Experience for the two positions
For the under-2s role, experience with babies or younger children, settling-in, early communication and attachment-led care would be particularly valuable.
For the over-2s role, experience with older toddlers or preschool children, language development, independence, school readiness and structured learning through play would be particularly relevant.
Essential requirements:
- Recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent
- Recent practical experience in a UK EYFS nursery setting
- Experience supporting children aged 0–5
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Calm, reliable and nurturing approach
- Ability to build warm, professional relationships
- Positive and collaborative team-working style
- Reliable ability to commute to Ascot for a fully onsite role
- Existing right to work in the UK

This opportunity may suit candidates who have worked as a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Montessori Nursery Practitioner or Baby Room Practitioner.
