This is one of the UKs most successful and progressive construction businesses based in the North of England. We are working closely with the senior management team to find a suitably experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to deliver schemes as the business expands. The initial project is due on site imminently and is a £10M retail and industrial development with drive through so experience of constructing industrial buildings is essential.

As Project Manager you will have full responsibility for the scheme feeding into the regional Contracts Manager overseeing all aspects of construction phases ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage project resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of workmanship, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience of retail and industrial developments is essential.
  • Proven experience as a construction Project Manager with a main building contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
