This is a leading residential developer specialising in new build development projects that are committed to delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable residential communities. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist / Technical Coordinator to join this team and contribute to the success of the business.
As an Architectural Technologist / Technical Coordinator specialising in new build housing, you will play a crucial role in designing all future developments up to 200 houses from initial layouts to full construction details and coordination of all design information to enable construction. Working closely with the Technical Manager and Directors your responsibilities will include:
- Experience of designing house types and layouts for housing developments.
- Experienced in construction detailing and producing technical design solutions.
- Knowledge of external works, levels and engineering with regards to retaining walls etc to evaluate drawings from external engineers.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, knowledge of Revit would be useful but not essential.
- Working with external design consultants and coordinating design information.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
- Knowledge of UK Planning.
- Knowledge of NHBC.
- Experience in all RIBA work stages.
Qualifications:
- 5 years minimum experience as an Architectural Technologist or Architectural Technician, preferably with a focus on new build housing or residential construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction design including materials, processes, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Degree or HNC/D in Architectural Technology or Construction.
