The company: This is a leading developer of state-of-the-art care homes and retirement living throughout the UK with offices based near Leeds. Due to significant growth, this business is building an in-house design team to design and develop architectural and technical solutions for their care developments instead of using an external Architectural Practice.
The role: As Senior Architectural Technologist, you will be involved in developments from the very beginning, working with the Land team to produce feasibility layouts, through planning and building regulations, and managing the design through all construction phases to completion. Working closely with the Head of Architecture and the wider team, you will also manage more junior architectural staff.
Requirements:
- Degree in Architectural Technology or HND
- Minimum of 10 years PQE
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
- Experience of working on projects from inception through to completion
- An understanding/practical knowledge of Revit/BIM including modelling and BIM strategy
- Excellent construction knowledge with the ability to produce construction and detailed working drawings and packages quickly and efficiently
- Experience of working on accommodation-based projects up to a value of £10M would be beneficial
