Recruit Assist are hiring a Production Team Leader for an artisan manufacture of beauty products. We are looking for a super star, hands on, practical and proactive Production Team Leader. This is a hands-on role in a small, collaborative environment. You will not only lead the day-to-day activities of the production team but also actively participate in the manufacturing process.
We are looking for someone who’s just as comfortable rolling up their sleeves on the production floor as they are managing people, ensuring quality standards, and helping the team work efficiently and happily.
PAY PER HOUR SALARY: £14.50 per hour
Shift Pattern and Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Includes 30-minute lunch break and 15-minute morning break
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in all stages of product manufacturing, including mixing, filling, and packaging
- Support and motivate a small team of production staff
- Maintain high standards of quality control, from raw materials through to finished goods
- Train and onboard new team members and agency staff
- Identify and address training needs across the team
- Help to improve processes and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure health & safety and cleanliness standards are upheld
- Foster a positive, team-focused work environment through hands-on leadership
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Practical, can-do attitude and willingness to get involved
- Good communication skills and approachable leadership style
- Basic computer literacy and numeracy
- Understanding of waste reduction, downtime, and efficient workflows
- Experience in a cosmetics or skincare environment is a bonus, but not essential
