We are seeking a skilled Used Vehicle Preparation Technician and a Diagnostic Technician to join our well-established automotive business in Nelson, Lancashire. We offer flexible work patterns, ongoing training, and career progression for the right candidates.
- The right Vehicle Preparation Technician must hold a full UK driving licence and be Level 3 light vehicle repair certified.
- There is no possibility of work sponsorship for this role.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance.
- Repair or replace tyres, exhausts, brakes, and other consumables.
- Locate and repair any damage or inoperative parts.
- Diagnose vehicle issues using all the latest diagnostic tools on site.
- Report any defects to the workshop manager and keep a detailed history of work.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times.
Salary & Benefits:
- We offer our teams flexibility on start times and working days.
- Flexible start and finish times Monday - Friday 8-5 or 9-6, plus 4 hours every other Saturday 8-12 or every other Sunday 4 hours 10-2.
Salary scales for a Used Vehicle Preparation Technician are:
- Experienced Level 3 certified with less than 4 years' workshop experience: £30,250.
- Experienced Level 3 certified with 4 years+ experience: £33,750.
- Senior technician with diagnostic experience (possibly MOT tester): £39,000.
