We are an independent, very busy vehicle service and maintenance garage located in Kegworth. We serve the local community and have a great customer database with repeat customers who have been using us for years. Due to increased workload and business expansion, we are looking for a Vehicle Service Technician to join the team. We have all the latest workshop tools.
Our small team consists of the Owner and a very good technician who does all the bigger jobs such as cambelts, water pumps, head gaskets, etc. The owner's dad helps out on occasion, but with the new Vehicle Service Technician joining, he can take a step back. We don't have main dealer politics or a clique mentality; we do have a relaxed working atmosphere, and on Fridays, we are usually finished by 4pm.
About You
We are looking for a Vehicle Service Technician who has completed their level 2/3 IMI/NVQ or City and Guilds in light vehicle repair certification, with ideally 2 years of workshop experience. We will mentor and train the right candidate who is willing to learn to be the best technician they want to be.
Job Specification
This is a full-time permanent role. You will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing, brakes, and tyre changes on all makes and models of vehicles. We are looking for someone with a great working attitude, who is physically fit and has a willingness to learn, as we want to offer on-the-job training to maximise your potential. You will need to have workshop experience and be Level 3 certified to IMI or NVQ standard or similar. A full UK driving licence is also a must; we have all the tools you will need to carry out the work required. If you have your own tools, that’s a bonus.
Working Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:30, NO WEEKENDS, and for the right person, we are offering a salary of £30,000 - £32,000. So if you have experience and are looking to step into a Vehicle Service Technician role with ongoing training and earning potential, get in touch.
