Vehicle technician for independent Service and Mot centre in Eastleigh. This is a full-time permanent role. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various makes of vehicles. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment. Wet belt replacement experience is a definite advantage.

We will accept applications from time served and certified IMI/NVQ or City & Guilds level. Working hours are Monday - Friday either 07:30am - 17:30pm or 08:00am - 18:00pm. Salary is experience dependent but we will pay for the right salary for the right experience: £35,000 - £38,000 plus bonus.

Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician include:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and filter replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and brake system failures.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify any potential issues or safety concerns.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, assemble, and repair vehicle components.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns (when necessary).

Requirements for a Vehicle Technician include:

  • Full UK driving licence with no previous bans and own tools.
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician with hands-on workshop experience.
  • Mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
  • Familiarity with equipment repair and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
