We are representing a reputable Bodyshop preparation business in Bury, Greater Manchester, seeking an experienced Bodyshop Controller to lead their busy workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with management experience in an automotive Bodyshop environment to oversee daily operations and ensure high standards of customer service and quality. Duties of a Bodyshop Controller:
- Lead the daily operations of a high-volume repair workshop
- Drive workshop productivity, efficiency, and quality standards
- Support and manage the Workshop and departmental supervisors
- Oversee workflow to ensure smooth progression through all repair stages
- Motivate, develop, and manage the performance of workshop staff
- Ensure timely completion of repairs and fulfilment of customer commitments
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and ongoing enhancement
Requirements of a Bodyshop Controller:
- Previous management experience within a busy bodyshop or accident repair environment or someone looking to step up
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to improve workshop efficiency and productivity
- Good understanding of modern vehicle repair methods and processes
- Ability to make confident decisions and solve problems under pressure
- Passion for delivering high-quality repairs and outstanding customer service
- ATA accreditation or experience in a manufacturer-approved repair centre is advantageous but not essential
Must have the right to work in the UK as no sponsorship is available for this role. Will also need a full UK driving licence.
