We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MOT Tester to join our automotive service team in Basingstoke. Must live in the Basingstoke area no further than 5 miles radius. Must hold a full UK driving licence, tools, and a live MOT card. You must have the right to work in the UK as there is no possibility of work sponsorship for this role. Monday - Friday 8 - 18.30 starting salary £42,000 rising to £45,000 after 3 months probation. There is also a £500 a month bonus in place OTE £51,000.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle safety inspections in accordance with legal standards, ensuring vehicles meet required safety and environmental criteria. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models, adhering strictly to legal and safety standards.
  • Inspect key vehicle components including brakes, suspension, lights, tyres, and exhaust systems.
  • Identify any defects or issues that may cause the vehicle to fail the MOT test and communicate findings clearly to customers or management.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and maintain detailed records of each inspection.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained regularly for optimal performance.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during testing procedures.
  • Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks when required, including minor repairs or adjustments.
