Role Finance Assistant sought by a global, £multibillion plastics manufacturer with close to 200 locations worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Subsidiary accounting including salaries, journals, accruals, prepayments, pension, reconciliations, TB, fixed assets and producing monthly accounts
- Subsidiary budgeting
- Cashflow forecasting
- VAT reconciliations
- Financial accounts reconciliations and processes (such as BS, PL & GRNI rec etc)
- Financial accounting general enquiries
- Audit assistance: year‑end, interim and statutory audit, HMRC government audits and other audit requirements
- Year‑End reporting and other adhoc reporting requirements
- Annual stock check attendance
- Treasury cover: raising payments, inter‑company netting, bank & group correspondence and bank reconciliations
Qualifications
- Self‑driven, friendly & a positive disposition, with a clear focus on high quality and delivering results
- Accuracy, attention to detail, excellent organisation skills
- Actively participates in team work to ensure organisational goals are met
- The ability to prioritise own workload & multitask
- Previous accounting experience, AAT/CIMA/ACCA part‑qualified or equivalent
- Computer literate in all MS Office applications
- Previous working knowledge of SAP and SAGE would be an advantage
