Join Us as Head of Volunteering – Shape the Future of Volunteering in Wales! Are you passionate about making a difference and driving positive change? Do you have the vision and leadership to influence volunteering at a national level? If so, this is your opportunity to lead the way!

WCVA is looking for a dynamic, strategic, and inspiring leader to take on the role of Head of Volunteering (Volunteering Vision Lead). In this pivotal position, you’ll champion volunteering across Wales’ voluntary sector, working closely with Welsh Government and partners to deliver the New Approach to Volunteering. Your leadership will help create a thriving, inclusive, safe, and sustainable volunteering sector that empowers communities and transforms lives.

About the role:

What you’ll do:

  • Lead with vision: Drive WCVA’s volunteering strategy and shape national policy.
  • Influence and advocate: Represent WCVA at high-level forums and champion volunteering in Wales.
  • Innovate and inspire: Promote new models of volunteering, from flexible opportunities to digital engagement.
  • Build strong partnerships: Collaborate with voluntary, public, and private sectors to create impact.
  • Empower teams: Provide strategic direction and motivate your team to make a bigger difference.

What we’re looking for:

  • A proven leader with significant experience in volunteering strategy and policy.
  • A passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion, and equity.
  • A skilled communicator who can influence, inspire, and engage at all levels.
  • Someone who thrives on collaboration, partnership and innovation.
