Turn data into action for Wales' voluntary sector. We’re looking for a motivated person, curious about all-things data, to join us as our Data Insights Analyst. You will play a crucial role in transforming how we use data, focusing initially on our new Welsh Voluntary Sector Barometer (WVSB). Capturing timely and reliable evidence, your work will generate powerful insights from the Barometer, alongside our existing platforms and external sources, and directly support our mission to influence public policy and deliver impactful support across the sector.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys finding meaning in data and sharing it in a clear, engaging way and wants their work to have real impact in communities across Wales.
Full time, 35 hours per week, flexibly £33,286 rising to £37,464 per annum. The starting salary will be £33,286 with progress through the salary range linked to successful completion of probation period and our performance review process. The post will also attract a contribution of 9% of annual salary to WCVA’s approved pension scheme.
Base: At WCVA, we embrace hybrid and flexible working. With staff working flexibly all across Wales, you’ll have the option to work remotely (including from home) or at our office hubs located in Aberystwyth and Cardiff, and across North Wales hiring small community spaces to bring staff together. Occasional attendance at our offices will be necessary for specific staff events and work engagements.
About the role: The Data Insights Analyst will support WCVA in improving how we collect and use data, initially focusing on the new Welsh Voluntary Sector Barometer (WVSB) - an innovative tool for capturing timely and reliable evidence about the sector in Wales. This role will also enhance how we use and interrogate data from our existing platforms, together with external sources, generating insights to support our work in influencing public policy and delivering impactful sector support.
