Are you a qualified Mechanical Project Engineer looking for your next challenge within a global manufacturing business? Our client is a leading international company providing bespoke engineered solutions across multiple industries. With manufacturing facilities worldwide, they design and deliver high-quality, custom-built products that meet exact customer specifications.
The Role:
As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you'll report to the Projects Department Manager and take ownership of project planning, coordination, and delivery — ensuring all bespoke projects are executed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standard. This is an office-based role with occasional travel to customer and supplier sites in the UK and overseas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion
- Coordinate multi-disciplined design teams (mechanical, electrical, and production)
- Oversee project strategy, scheduling, budgets, and reporting
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety, and quality expectations
- Support continuous improvement across manufacturing and engineering processes
About You:
- HNC / Level 4 or above in Engineering (Degree desirable)
- PRINCE2, APMP, or other recognised Project Management qualification
- Experience working on large-scale mechanical, power, or oil & gas projects
- Strong technical knowledge of fabrication, manufacturing, and workshop machinery
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A second language would be an advantage but not essential
