Our client, a well-established and highly respected residential developer, is looking to recruit a Civil Engineer to join their team at their Birmingham office. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, mixed-tenure housing developments across the UK, they are known for creating sustainable communities and investing in their people. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are now looking to expand their technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a civil engineering background to play a key role in the delivery of residential developments from concept through to completion.

As the Civil Engineer, you will:

  • Coordinate and manage engineering drawings, reports and technical documentation
  • Review civil engineering designs, including roads, sewers and utilities
  • Liaise with external consultants, utilities providers and local authorities
  • Support planning applications and the discharge of planning conditions
  • Arrange site investigations, surveys and enabling works
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and industry standards
  • Attend pre-start and site meetings, providing technical input
  • Manage service provision on site (gas, electric, water, telecoms)
  • Identify and mitigate site constraints to support build programmes
  • Communicate technical issues clearly across the wider business

Requirements for this role:

  • HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
  • Experience with roads, sewers and utilities
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage
  • Experience within residential housebuilding (preferred)
  • Good IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to analyse problems and deliver effective solutions
  • Excellent communication skills
