New Opportunity - Access Control & CCTV Engineer (Paxton & Hikvision) Our client, a well-established and growing security systems specialist based in Ilkeston, is looking to recruit an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join their expanding team. The business delivers high-quality CCTV and access control installations and service work across commercial and industrial environments throughout the UK.
This is a field-based engineering role focused on the installation, commissioning, servicing and fault-finding of integrated security systems. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Paxton access control systems and Hikvision CCTV, and will be confident working independently on client sites.

As the new Security Engineer, you will: Install, commission and service CCTV systems, primarily Hikvision Install, maintain and fault-find Paxton access control systems Diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently on client sites Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service work Work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams and site specifications Complete accurate service documentation and compliance reports Liaise professionally with clients, site managers and internal teams Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of safety and quality Requirements for this role: Proven experience as a Security Systems Engineer or similar field-based role Strong, hands-on experience with Paxton access control systems (essential) Experience with Hikvision CCTV systems (essential or highly desirable) Ability to install, commission and fault-find systems independently Confident reading and working from wiring diagrams and technical drawings Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability Full UK driving licence Full right to work in the UK Based within a commutable distance of Ilkeston for equipment collection Desirable experience: IP networking and switch configuration Experience with multi-site commercial security systems Additional CCTV or access control manufacturer experience Benefits include: £40,000 per annum Company van and fuel card Tools, uniform and equipment provided Ongoing training and technical development Overtime opportunities available Full-time permanent position Long-term stability with a growing and reputable business This role would suit a motivated and technically competent engineer who is confident working independently and looking to develop further within modern security systems, including access control and IP-based CCTV technologies.
