We are looking for Litho Printers (Number 1 / Lead Operators) and Litho Printer Assistants (Number 2 Operators) to join a well-established cartonboard packaging manufacturer based in Nottingham. The business produces high-quality printed packaging for some of the UK’s leading food, retail and consumer brands.

These are permanent roles within a busy production environment, working with lithographic (offset) printing presses and supporting efficient, high-quality production output.

Role Overview

Depending on experience, you will either operate as a Lead Litho Printer responsible for running the press, or as a Litho Printer Assistant supporting the press operation. In both roles, you will be involved in setting up, running and maintaining lithographic printing presses, ensuring high-quality output, smooth production and adherence to safety and quality standards.

As the Litho Printer you will:

  • Set up and operate lithographic (offset) printing presses (or assist in setup)
  • Support or lead production runs from start to finish
  • Monitor colour consistency, registration and print quality
  • Carry out press changeovers and adjustments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production or print issues
  • Ensure production targets and efficiency levels are met
  • Complete quality checks and production records
  • Support daily press operations and workflow
  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment
  • Work collaboratively as part of the print team

Requirements for this role:

  • Previous experience in Litho Printing, Offset Printing or Print Production
  • Experience working on or around lithographic presses
  • Strong understanding of print quality, colour control and consistency
  • Experience with cartonboard or packaging print (desirable)
  • Experience with Heidelberg, Komori, KBA or similar presses (highly desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Full right to work in the UK

Shift Pattern:

  • 06:00 – 13:30 (Monday to Friday)
  • 13:30 – 21:00 (Monday to Friday)
  • 21:00 – 06:00 (Monday to Thursday)

Salary: £26,164 – £36,365 per year depending on experience and role level (Assistant to Lead Operator)
