Our client in Heanor is looking for a motivated and experienced Electronics Technician to join their growing team. In this role you will be based in the workshop, diagnosing and repairing nonstandard faults.

Candidates with previous electronics fault-finding experience to component level and experience in wiring diagrams would be a great fit for this role.

As the new Electronics Technician, you will:

  • Follow wiring diagrams and pin data to power up ECUs on the bench and test specific circuits and functions.
  • Analyse ECUs (electronic control units) and their PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies) to discover the cause of electronic faults and to enact repairs where possible.
  • Create technical documentation.
  • Close looping of information into SOP and training of technicians.

Requirements for this role:

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous Electronics Technician experience.
  • Experience in electronic fault finding to component level and PCB rework methods.
  • Experience in electronic schematic/wiring diagram drawings.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Well organised with a methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Team player with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and experience of automotive operations, electronics, and communication protocols.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is desirable.

Salary for this role is between £29,000 - £34,000 (depending on skills and experience). Hours are 6:30am - 3pm Monday to Friday. This is a full-time permanent role.
