Recruit 2 You is working with a well-established and reputable company to find a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team covering the Scotland region. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded individual to work with a market leader, providing exceptional service and support to customers within hospitals, laboratories, and funeral director premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out installation, servicing, and maintenance of laboratory and pathology equipment across the Scotland area.
- Diagnose and repair faults on warming cabinets, humidity cabinets, CO2 incubators, mechanical hydraulic hoists (manual and electric), and height-adjustable benches.
- Provide technical support and training to customers as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and report back to the service team.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
- Work independently and be willing to stay away from home for several nights a week when required.
Requirements:
- NVQ or C&G electrical qualification (ideally Level 3 / 18th Edition).
- Minimum of 2 years experience within a maintenance field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Sound mechanical knowledge to service electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Excellent face-to-face customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK (company NOT participating in VISA schemes).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in using mobile apps for work-related tasks (training provided).
- Willingness to travel extensively within Scotland with occasional overnight stays.
