Are you an Engineer with project management or project coordination experience looking to take the next step in your career? Our client is looking to appoint an Engineering Project Manager to join their growing Projects team, delivering bespoke engineered solutions across sectors including Energy, Renewables, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture and Waste-to-X. This role would suit someone with a strong engineering background who has experience managing or supporting engineering projects, and who is looking to further develop their career in project delivery. Working closely with the Head of Projects and internal engineering teams, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering projects from order through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage engineering projects from order receipt through design, manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning
- Interpret contract specifications and coordinate engineering design activities
- Monitor project programmes, budgets and commercial performance
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, suppliers and internal teams
- Coordinate supply chain, engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure project delivery
- Support supplier and subcontractor selection and performance management
- Oversee logistics, installation and commissioning activities where required
- Ensure accurate project documentation, invoicing and contract close-out
- Produce project progress updates and KPI reports
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience:
- Strong engineering or technical background within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong project planning and coordination skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent communication skills with customers, suppliers and internal teams
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with fabricated systems or bespoke manufactured products
- Exposure to sectors such as Energy, Renewables, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience working with international suppliers or subcontractors
- Commercial awareness or contract management exposure
- Experience in Project Management, Project Engineering, or Project Coordination
Qualifications:
- Qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline
- Degree-level qualification beneficial but not essential
- Project management training such as PRINCE2 or APM is desirable
Further Details:
- £35,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
- Full-time permanent position (37 hours per week)
- Primarily site-based in Eastwood, with occasional travel depending on project locations
