Our client is a global leader in flow control and isolation valves, specialising in high-temperature, custom-engineered parts for critical applications. They serve industries such as Power Generation, Carbon Capture, Oil & Gas, and Marine.
We are looking for a hands-on Aftermarket Service Manager with a strong engineering background to lead our client’s site service team. In this role you will be predominantly office based with occasional travel to customer sites. When on site, you will support with estimations, quotations, surveys and risk assessments. Candidates must be open to offshore training and travel.
As the new Technical Service Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage the site service team.
- Be the main customer contact for all service-related enquiries and projects.
- Plan and coordinate resources, jobs, and service activities.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, risk assessments, and create method statements.
- Estimate and quote for service work and manage project costs.
- Oversee site-based maintenance, upgrades, and retrofit projects.
- Provide technical support both on-site and remotely.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, sales, project management).
Requirements for this role:
- Strong previous experience in mechanical engineering, power generation, mining or bespoke manufactured products in a Field Service Engineer, Engineering Team Leader, Engineering Manager or similar.
- Have an ONC / Level 3 (or higher) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or qualify by experience.
- 3+ years in service/project management.
- Background in Power Generation or Oil & Gas is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial installation, construction, and maintenance workflows.
- Valid Driving Licence (required).
- BOSIET (preferred).
- Must have a Right to Work in the UK.
