New Opportunity – Accountancy Trainer
Our client in Derby is looking for candidates that are eager to use their Accountancy and Payroll experience in a teaching environment. With no prior teaching experience required, this is your opportunity for a fully supported career move to do something great!
You will be joining the team as an AAT Trainer, specifically teaching AAT level 3 and 4 to learners. You will be helping them to understand concepts, sharing your passions for the filed of finance and making a difference to each learner you meet.
As the new Accountancy Trainer, you will:
- Deliver engaging training for the AAT Levels 2, 3 & 4 Apprenticeship Standards or commercial qualifications, in the classroom and/or online.
- Maintain current professional knowledge within the accountancy field and undertake continuous CPD activities as required to ensure your training remains relevant and effective.
- Assess and support learners towards the successful completion of their qualification, ensuring they are fully prepared for their End Point Assessment.
- Manage your diary efficiently to ensure timely classroom sessions and effective planning of your delivery schedule.
- Support, advise and motivate learners throughout their studies, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
- Overcome barriers to learning by adapting your delivery style and learning materials to meet individual learner needs.
- Use our e-portfolio system to record learner progress, track attendance, and produce clear feedback reports to monitor achievement.
- Promote and embed Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent, and Health & Safety in all learning sessions to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate any issues or concerns about learners to your line manager and designated Safeguarding Officer as appropriate.
Requirements for this role:
Essential:
- Relevant accounting qualifications (AAT Level 4 at minimum)
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of all ages and learning levels, with clear verbal and written communication skills.
- A genuine desire to help others succeed, with a natural empathy for people and the ability to inspire and motivate learners
- Strong organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage your own diary and plan your time effectively
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, and the ability to create and implement engaging learning resources.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, with the confidence to collaborate with others and contribute towards targets.
- A results-driven attitude, with the willingness to go the extra mile for learners, and the ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively. Quality driven and committed to learner success.
Desirable
- Teaching/training experience.
- Prior experience of working within apprenticeship/education sector.
- Relevant Training, Teaching or assessing qualification.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and OneFile is desired, but essential training will be given.
- Experience within curriculum design.
- Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.

About this role:
- Based in Derby 4 days per week. Fridays WFH, full team meeting on the last Friday of every month will be held in Derby

- Ideally AAT qualified, but we are accepting uni degrees / Level 7 qualified into the interview stages. But note for a Level 7 candidate, the salary banding is based on experience so won\’t necessarily mean then enter at top band
