Our client is a well-established cartonboard packaging manufacturer based in Nottingham, producing high-quality printed packaging for some of the UK's leading food, retail, and consumer brands. We are looking to recruit experienced Litho Printer Assistants to join their production team permanently. This role works directly alongside the Litho Printer (Number 1 Operator), supporting the running of lithographic (offset) printing presses and ensuring high-quality, efficient production throughout each shift. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with litho print experience who is looking to develop their skills, with potential opportunities to progress within the print room.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setting up lithographic (offset) printing presses
  • Prepare inks, plates and materials
  • Support press changeovers and production runs
  • Carry out regular quality checks during production
  • Maintain material supply to the press
  • Assist with cleaning and routine maintenance of equipment
  • Help resolve minor production issues
  • Support the Litho Printer (Number 1 Operator) throughout shifts
  • Follow health & safety and production procedures

Requirements

  • Previous experience in lithographic or offset printing
  • Understanding of print production processes
  • Experience working alongside a press operator (desirable)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus
  • Good teamworking and communication skills
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
  • Full right to work in the UK

Shift Pattern

  • 06:00 – 13:30 (Monday to Friday)
  • 21:00 – 06:00 (Monday to Thursday)
  • 13:30 – 21:00 (Monday to Friday)

Further Details

Salary: £26,164 – £29,533 per year (depending on experience)

Full-Time Permanent position
