We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our client in Mansfield. In this role you will be doing maintenance and refurbishment work on large mechanical plant equipment. You will be based predominantly in the workshop in Mansfield; after full training you will occasionally go out to client sites to support maintenance on their equipment. The ideal candidate will come from a heavy plant/machinery background and will feel confident working with diesel or hydraulic systems.
Responsibilities
- Strip down and overhaul heavy plant machinery.
- Work on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Use cutting-edge tools to optimise performance.
- Ensure machinery is prepared to high standards.
- Rebuild engines, electronic and hydraulic systems.
- Occasionally, be required to travel to customer sites.
Requirements
- Essential: Previous experience with working on and with heavy plant, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems; NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land-Based Engineering, or HGV Mechanics; Local to the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area, own tools, full UK driving licence, and right to work in the UK.
- Desirable: Welding & fabrication experience.
