Are you an experienced Team Leader who leads by example and has the confidence to motivate a team while maintaining high operational standards? Our client is looking for a Night Shift Team Leader to join their Operations team in Enfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with warehouse, logistics, or food manufacturing experience to oversee the smooth running of the night shift operation, ensuring deliveries are prepared accurately, safely, and on time.
As the new Night Shift Team Leader, you will:
- Open the site and prepare the operation for overnight activities
- Coordinate vehicle movements to ensure efficient loading and dispatch
- Oversee the receipt of overnight stock transfers from the Derby site
- Support the team in combining customer orders ready for dispatch
- Coordinate the loading of vehicles to achieve planned departure times while maintaining required temperature controls
- Monitor and record stock transfer temperatures and complete relevant system updates
- Ensure all delivery documentation, invoices, and manifests are prepared accurately for each route
- Complete daily customer delivery bookings
- Manage staff rotas, holidays, and shift cover to ensure operational requirements are met
- Arrange agency driver cover when required due to absence or increased demand
- Report vehicle defects to the daytime Transport Coordinator
- Complete detailed shift handovers, ensuring key operational information is communicated effectively
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the dispatch area and external yard
- Lead, motivate, and support the night shift team while ensuring company policies and procedures are followed
Main Requirements for This Role
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team within a warehouse, logistics, transport, or food manufacturing environment
- Confident managing people and holding team members accountable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
- A valid UK driving licence
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) and Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licences
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems
- Strong investigation and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within refrigerated or warehouse environments
Desirable Experience
- Health & Safety qualification
- Food Safety or Food Hygiene training
- Experience using warehouse scanning systems

About this role:
Salary for this role is £17.99 per hour (£37,419.20 per annum). This is a full-time, permanent position based in Enfield. Working hours are 11:00pm - 7:30am, Sunday to Thursday.
