My client is looking to grow their team in Cardiff and are looking for a Regional Executive with a strong background in funding and supporting SME businesses through loans. Are you a commercially minded relationship builder with a passion for supporting businesses and driving economic growth across Wales? If you have the right background and experience as a Regional Executive then this may be the company to join in Wales. This is a unique opportunity to work with ambitious SMEs, helping them access funding, grow their businesses and create jobs within local communities.
This is a varied role combining business development, customer relationship management, stakeholder engagement and business support.
Key Responsibilities- Appraising and analysing investment opportunities by interview with client company directors and advisors; by appropriate due diligence investigations; and preparing sanction papers for presentation to the Area Manager or full Investment Committee.
- Build and maintain relationships with business owners, advisors and key stakeholders across Wales.
- Generate and develop new business opportunities through networking, marketing and community engagement.
- Promote the companies funding solutions and support services to businesses across the region.
- Support and manage relationships with existing client companies.
- Work closely with local authorities, business groups and economic development organisations.
- Assist with the management and smooth operation of the 2 offices they have.
- Represent the business at networking events, exhibitions and business forums.
- Support businesses throughout their growth journey and identify opportunities for further support.
- Strong business development, sales, account management or relationship management experience.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Commercially aware with an interest in supporting SMEs and business growth.
- Experience in loans and investments would be an advantage.
- Customer-focused with the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Confident engaging with business leaders and external stakeholders.
- Passionate about making a positive impact within local communities.
A very generous package in Cardiff for this Hybrid role based in S Wales. 3 days in the offices and 2 days from home. £45,000 - £55,000 salary. Bonus scheme (up to 20%). Car allowance/company car. 35 days holiday including bank holidays. Excellent pension (10% employer contribution). Opportunity to make a genuine difference to businesses across Wales.
