We are seeking a proactive and organised Logistics Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing operation in Telford. In this role, you will take ownership of outbound and inbound logistics, ensuring customer shipments are planned and executed in line with delivery schedules and quality standards. You will also support team development and play a key role in maintaining compliance across shipping, receiving, and customs processes. This position is well suited to someone with strong logistics experience who enjoys leading a team and working in a fast-paced production environment.

- Hours: 38 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all customer shipments to meet delivery schedules and requirements
- Ensure all shipping documentation, labelling, and advance shipping notifications are accurate and compliant
- Oversee goods-in processes, including receiving deliveries and booking stock into systems
- Coordinate supplier receipts and manage discrepancies in line with KPIs
- Work closely with third-party logistics providers to arrange and track shipments
- Manage import and export activities, ensuring all customs documentation is accurate and compliant
- Maintain well-organised records for audit and compliance purposes
- Lead and support the Shipping & Receiving team, driving performance and development
- Monitor inventory handling and ensure alignment with quality and operational standards
- Investigate delivery issues and discrepancies, conducting root cause analysis where required
- Support waste, scrap, and non-BOM material tracking and documentation
- Promote health, safety, and environmental standards across the department
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or logistics role within manufacturing
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred)
- Knowledge of UK and international shipping, including import/export processes
- Strong understanding of inventory control and material handling
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels
- Lean or continuous improvement experience is advantageous
