They are seeking a DCM Setting Team Leader to lead and develop the die casting setting team, driving safe, efficient and consistent manufacturing performance within a high-volume automotive production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and developing the DCM Setting team through coaching, mentoring and performance support.
- Ensuring compliance with company Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies across the department.
- Managing day-to-day die casting setting activities to achieve safe, efficient and consistent production.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency and process stability.
- Leading run-up activities following die changes, identifying improvement opportunities and reducing start-up times.
- Supporting cross-functional improvement projects with a focus on key production performance metrics.
- Working with engineering, quality, production and maintenance teams to identify and resolve process issues.
- Supporting improvements in right-first-time performance through effective problem solving.
- Collecting, analysing and reporting process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience of Die Casting Machine (DCM) setting activities.
- Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
- Strong understanding of die casting processes and parameter management.
- Basic knowledge of high-pressure die casting (HPDC) die design.
- Experience implementing process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with process auditing and maintaining manufacturing standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques.
- Project management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
