We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Contract Test Technician to support the development and validation of electric drive systems in an engineering environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet performance, safety, and reliability standards through structured testing and data-driven validation.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with test rigs and instrumentation, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced development setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up dynamometers, test rigs, and supporting equipment for electric drive system testing
- Install units under test including motors, gearboxes, inverters, and associated components
- Configure sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems
- Prepare and execute tests in line with defined procedures and Design Verification Plans (DVP)
- Ensure all equipment is calibrated and safe prior to testing
- Run performance, durability, and validation tests using dynamometer systems
- Monitor tests and identify abnormal behavior or faults during operation
- Record and log test data using data acquisition systems
- Perform basic validation checks to ensure accuracy and repeatability of data
- Support engineers in analyzing results and documenting test outcomes
- Assist with calibration of sensors and instrumentation
- Carry out routine maintenance of test rigs and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to test setups
- Support continuous improvement of test methods, equipment, and processes
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized test environment
Qualifications
- Experience setting up and operating test rigs for electric motors, inverters, or drive systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and electromechanical systems
- Proficiency with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers)
- Experience using data acquisition systems and recording test data
- Ability to perform mechanical and electrical installation and maintenance tasks
- Understanding of high-voltage safety practices and electrical standards
- Ability to follow detailed test procedures and maintain accurate documentation
- Experience working in an engineering or development environment preferred
