They are seeking Mechanical Design Engineers to join their engineering teams, supporting the development of next-generation machines across multiple product areas including electrification, autonomous technology, connected systems and advanced vehicle platforms. Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of mechanical systems, components and assemblies throughout the full product development lifecycle.
- Deliver robust designs that meet performance, quality, cost and manufacturing requirements.
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components and assemblies from concept through to production.
- Create and maintain high-quality 3D CAD models, drawings and engineering documentation.
- Develop innovative design solutions to improve machine performance, reliability and manufacturability.
- Integrate mechanical, hydraulic and powertrain systems into complex machine platforms.
- Support design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
- Work with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, suppliers and test teams to deliver successful products.
- Support prototype builds, validation activities and production launches.
- Investigate design issues and support root cause analysis activities.
- Drive continuous improvement and implement engineering best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a design engineering environment.
- Experience within off-highway, automotive, agricultural, defence or mobile machinery industries is desirable.
- Strong mechanical design knowledge and understanding of product development processes.
- Experience using 3D CAD software such as Creo, CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks or similar.
- Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies for manufacture.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) principles.
- Experience supporting validation, testing and production delivery activities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
