A leading global Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry is looking for a Materials Manager to join its dynamic team in Telford. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in a high-performing production environment, overseeing the flow of materials, ensuring delivery performance, and driving continuous improvement across material logistics and inventory functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate material flow and delivery adherence across the shop floor
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Material Planners (MPL)
- Drive 100% inventory accuracy and delivery performance
- Implement lean principles and enhance logistics operations
- Manage supplier relationships and improve delivery performance
- Use MRP systems for material planning and support new product launches
- Maintain and optimise the FLT/Tugger fleet
- Oversee and improve inventory control and stock accuracy procedures
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to solve logistical challenges
Your Background:
- Previous experience in automotive manufacturing and material handling
