About the Role

As an Engineer - Electrical Test HW, you will play a key role in the Requirements & Validation department, responsible for system and component testing across several exciting projects. The role involves defining, executing, and validating tests to ensure that the latest technologies meet performance and safety standards. You'll work in a fast-paced, innovative environment that offers continuous learning and the chance to make a direct impact on the company's success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute system and component test and validation activities.
  • Develop and implement Design Validation (DV) and Production Validation (PV) test plans.
  • Support external testing carried out by third-party test houses.
  • Assist with the preparation of requirements documentation for vehicles, systems, and components.
  • Work closely with the systems team to resolve issues and perform fault-finding on projects.
  • Contribute to hazard analysis, risk management, and DFMEA for components and systems.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support technical and project reviews with customers, representing the company's interests.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Ensure adherence to industry, customer, and legislative standards.

About You

  • Proven experience in electrical integration within the automotive or motorsport industries.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, or significant practical experience.
  • Solid understanding of testing and validation methods.
  • Knowledge of electrical and environmental test standards (e.g., LV124, ISO16750).
  • Proficiency with Vector tools, including CANalyzer.
  • Ability to work flexibly and meet strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel both within the UK and internationally.

Preferred

  • Experience with Electric Vehicles, HV charging, HV battery, and HV powertrain systems.
  • Familiarity with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test rigs, preferably using National Instruments or Vector tools.
  • Experience with requirements capture tools such as Siemens Polarion or IBM Rational Doors.
  • Understanding of functional safety principles, particularly ISO26262.
