We are looking for a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join our dynamic Contracts Team. You’ll play a key role in bringing new products to life through high-quality 2D and 3D design work using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Main Purpose of the RoleTo support the Contracts Team in delivering engineering designs and detailed manufacturing drawings for new and existing product developments. You will be integral in transforming concepts into accurate, production-ready designs.
Key Responsibilities- Produce and verify detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Support product testing and development by specifying components and liaising with procurement.
- Ensure designs meet project specifications and compliance requirements by collaborating with clients and consultants.
- Identify and resolve potential manufacturing issues during the early stages of design.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date drawing registers and documentation.
- Contribute to the innovation and development of new products.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support seamless manufacturing processes.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar engineering design role.
- Proficient in 2D and 3D modelling (SolidWorks and AutoCAD essential).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Eye for detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Relevant qualifications in Engineering Design or similar field.
