Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM (37.5 hours/week, with a 30-minute unpaid break daily)
Role Overview:
Are you ready to take the lead in developing cutting-edge manufacturing processes? We are seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer with a background in high-pressure die casting, injection moulding, or similar technologies. You will play a pivotal role in the advancement of technologies, including die casting, CNC, heat treatment, assembly, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership
- Develop concepts and specify equipment requirements.
- Standardize documentation from concept to production.
- Lead the creation and update of equipment Statements of Requirements (SORs).
- Identify and verify new suppliers, and manage supplier relationships.
- Oversee equipment procurement, installation, and major CAPEX projects.
- Lean Manufacturing Optimization
- Employ Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency.
- Optimize product flow and implement Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
- Develop pre-production packaging for WIP and finished goods.
- Project Management
- Manage equipment project timelines and budgets.
- Lead equipment testing and final acceptance.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred).
- Proven experience with die casting, injection moulding, or stamping within the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Project management experience and FMEA process expertise.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project.
Work Environment:
You will be based in a dynamic manufacturing plant and office setting, with exposure to varying conditions such as heat, cold, and noise. Full Health and Safety training and PPE are provided.
