Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns for a portfolio of clients
- Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual management accounts
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, payroll journals, VAT submissions & variance analysis
- Oversee tax compliance, including corporation tax returns and self-assessment filings
- Liaise with external auditors during year-end processes
- Provide commercial insights and build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams
- Mentor junior accountants & contribute to process improvements
Experience And Skills Requirements
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Proven experience (ideally 3+ years) in practice or industry finance
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with IRIS (e.g., Cashflow Manager, PAYE, CT)
- Experience in self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns
- Strong organisational, communication & analytical abilities
