3-Month Internship (with potential to become a permanent role)

Location: Edinburgh-based (with occasional travel and remote flexibility)

Start Date: May/June 2025

Pay: Paid Internship (plus weekend bonus pay for in-person pop-ups)

About Us: Recreation Jewels is a fast-growing, Gen Z-led jewellery brand on a mission to create maximalist, waterproof, hypoallergenic pieces you never have to take off. We’ve grown rapidly through social media, viral events, and a loyal community, and we’re looking for a hands-on, proactive intern to help us scale even further.

This isn’t just an internship. You’ll work directly with the founder on key operational and strategic tasks that are essential to running and growing the brand. We’re looking for someone hardworking, organised, and ambitious, who can take ownership, spot opportunities, and help us run more efficiently as we scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations & Logistics
  • Manage daily orders, returns, and inventory across our Shopify backend
  • Maintain and improve systems for stock organisation
  • Coordinate logistics for upcoming events and pop-ups
  • Keep track of key operational metrics (sales performance, stock turnover, ROI per event)
  • Help plan and scout new pop-up locations based on performance data
  • Community & Brand Growth
    • Respond to customer service queries warmly and efficiently
    • Assist with influencer outreach, product gifting and press sample coordination
    • Reach out to stylists, journalists, and brand partners for PR and collaborations
    • Track press and social media coverage and flag opportunities
    • Occasionally work at our pop-up on weekends (bonus pay provided)
    • Be present at summer pop-ups to help with setup, sales and customer engagement
    We’re Looking For Someone Who:
    • Is based in Edinburgh or nearby
    • Has experience working at a small business or start-up (essential)
    • Is confident with Shopify and ecommerce systems (essential)
    • Is incredibly organised, especially around stock and logistics
    • Is numbers-driven, analytical, and confident using Google Sheets/Excel
    • Communicates clearly and can email collaborators with confidence
    • Can work both independently and as part of a fast-moving team
    • Is passionate about creative entrepreneurship and growing a brand from the inside out
    • Shares our ambition to scale Recreation Jewels and isn’t afraid to take initiative
    Bonus Skills (Not Essential, But a Plus):
    • Canva / Notion
    • Shopify automations or analytics
    • Previous pop-up or event experience
    • Visual merchandising or styling interest
