We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Manager to join our clients team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our organisation maintains the highest standards of safety, health, environmental protection, and quality across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality issues for employees, Management Team members, Directors, and external stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive SHEQ management systems and policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international SHEQ regulations and standards.
- Develop and deliver SHEQ training programs for employees at all levels of the organisation.
- Monitor and report on key SHEQ performance indicators.
- Manage and maintain all SHEQ-related documentation and records.
- Collaborate with department heads to integrate SHEQ principles into all aspects of the business.
- Represent the company in SHEQ-related matters with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and certification organizations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in SHEQ management.
- Develop and manage the SHEQ budget.
- Lead and motivate the SHEQ team to achieve departmental and organisational goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Higher level NVQ Level 4 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice.
- Proven Health, Safety, and Environmental management experience, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SHEQ regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and SHEQ management software.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification (preferred).
