This is a part-time, on-site role based in Bolton for a Domiciliary Care Trainer. The Trainer will deliver high-quality training to ensure that care staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service.
Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality training to care and support staff.
- Develop and conduct training sessions and update training materials as needed.
- Evaluate staff performance and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to support professional development within the team.
- Location: Bolton
- Hours: 22.5 hours per week; induction weeks pattern: wk1 Mon-Thu 30 hrs, wk2 Mon-Tue 15 hrs
- Contract: Permanent following a satisfactory probationary period
- Salary: £16,300 per annum starting, dependent upon experience, with potential for annual increments and overtime as required
- Strong background in providing mandatory training in a care setting.
- Experience managing the delivery of the company induction programme, including work-based competencies.
- Development, implementation and delivery of all mandatory training for new care workers, including the Care Certificate and compliance for those new to care.
- Ability to manage a training calendar/matrix and run refresher training to ensure all staff are up to date with statutory, mandatory and refresher training.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and general IT skills.
- Level 3 Certificate in Education & Training (formerly PTLLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Train the Trainer qualifications for key topics such as Moving and Handling, Medicines Administration, Basic Life Support and First Aid.
- Good working knowledge of CQC fundamental standards and up-to-date knowledge of health and safety, COSHH, and safeguarding.
