This is a part-time, on-site role based in Bolton for a Domiciliary Care Trainer. The trainer will deliver high-quality training to ensure that care staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and conducting training sessions
  • Evaluating staff performance
  • Maintaining compliance with industry regulations
  • Updating training materials as needed
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to support professional development within the team

In House Trainer required for established domiciliary care provider in the Bolton area. Permanent contract following a satisfactory probationary period. 22.5 hours per week working pattern on induction weeks: (wk1 - Mon-Thursday, 30 hrs and wk 2- Mon-Tuesday, 15 hrs). £16300 per annum starting (dependent upon experience), with a view to annual increments and overtime as required.

Qualifications:

  • A strong background in providing mandatory training in a care setting
  • Manage the delivery of the company Induction programme including undertaking work‑based competencies
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of all mandatory training for all new care workers, including the care certificate and compliance for those new to care
  • Be able to manage a training calendar/matrix and run refresher training to ensure all support staff at the service are up to date with their statutory, mandatory and refresher training
  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Word 11, Excel spreadsheets and general IT skills
  • Have Level 3 certificate in Education & Training (AET, formerly PTLLS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have a minimum of Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Have Train the trainer qualifications for key topics such as Moving and Assisting, Medications administration, Basic life support and First aid
  • Possess a good working knowledge of CQC fundamental standards and up-to-date knowledge of health and safety, COSHH and safeguarding
