Overview

South Tyneside Adult Recovery Service (STARS) is the alcohol and drug service in South Tyneside for adults. The service is open Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 4:45 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming meet-and-greet service to people attending STARS.
  • Answer internal phone calls.
  • Replenish leaflets and resources.
  • Create and maintain displays in waiting areas/rooms.
  • Copying and printing resources for colleagues.

About you / Qualifications

  • Due to the location of the printer, applicants must be able to walk up and down a flight of stairs to access the printer/copier.
  • The service is open 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, so the role would take place during these hours.
  • Confident IT skills with mandatory online training modules.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; professional, able to maintain professional boundaries; adhere to Waythrough policies.
  • Experience of volunteering or working in admin/reception/customer service would be desirable.
  • Caring, patient and empathetic nature; able to remain calm and focused in a busy environment.
