About the Role
Haringey Advisory Group on Alcohol (HAGA) is part of the drug and alcohol service in Haringey, delivered by Waythrough. Its vision is to break down barriers that prevent people from accessing the support they need to live a life they value. The organisation works across mental health, drug and alcohol services, housing, and related support, tackling poverty and disadvantage in communities.
The role involves working as part of a wider team to deliver outreach services for adults who face barriers in accessing drug and alcohol support, taking services directly into the community.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver outreach services in a range of community settings, including GP hubs, supported accommodation, and service users’ homes
- Support the Project Manager and team in providing high-quality, person-centred care
- Carry out needs assessments and develop support and risk management plans
- Help service users live independently and work towards sustained recovery
- Support tenancy sustainment and stability
- Work with local agencies to address anti-social behaviour and improve engagement with services
- Attend multi-agency meetings and collaborate with stakeholders
- Promote the service, receive referrals, and provide signposting advice
- Encourage service users to engage in education, training, and healthier lifestyles
- Maintain accurate case records and update management systems
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to deliver person-centred support to individuals with complex needs
- Experience or understanding of outreach work within community settings
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures for vulnerable adults and children
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage case records effectively
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
- Understanding of working within policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
