What you’ll be doing
- In this role, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring our properties are fully compliant with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- You’ll take ownership of compliance tracking, remedial works, and contractor performance, making sure we act quickly to reduce risk and keep everyone safe.
- Lead on compliance across key areas such as gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, legionella, and lifts.
- Drive the completion of remedial works following inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Manage contractor compliance, including certifications, performance, and relationships.
- Maintain accurate, auditable compliance records and trackers.
- Support reporting for senior leadership and governance.
- Develop and manage plans such as water management and asbestos management plans.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and local services to ensure responsive issue resolution.
- Deputise for the Repairs, Maintenance & Compliance Lead when required.
About you
- We’re looking for someone organised, proactive, and passionate about safety and quality.
- Strong knowledge of building safety and compliance areas (e.g., gas, EICR, asbestos, legionella).
- Experience working with contractors, landlords, or service providers.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence using systems and data to track performance and produce reports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
- A keen eye for detail, with the ability to assess risk and challenge where needed.
- Desirably, you may also have experience in social housing, compliance planning, or relevant qualifications, but we’re equally keen to support ongoing development.
