Responsibilities

  • Maintain and sustain accommodation and reduce the risk of homelessness.
  • Develop independent living skills, confidence, and personal resilience.
  • Assist with access to housing, benefits, healthcare, treatment services, education, training, and employment opportunities.
  • Improve wellbeing through tailored support planning and practical assistance.
  • Reduce harm and engage positively with recovery-focused services related to drug and alcohol use.
  • Build positive routines and strengthen connections within the local community.
  • Provide flexible support through home visits, outreach work, welfare checks, and partnership working with external agencies.
  • Work independently and as part of a supportive team to ensure compassionate, person-centred support reflects unique needs and goals.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Compassionate and motivated, committed to supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Experience with homelessness, substance misuse, mental health challenges, or social exclusion.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and recovery-focused support approaches.
  • Ability to build professional relationships and maintain appropriate boundaries.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
  • Confidence working independently in community and outreach settings, and collaboratively within a wider team.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to supporting individuals with varying levels of need.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience in support work or housing-related services desirable; transferable skills and lived experience welcomed.
