Job Title

Criminal Justice Recovery Navigator – Likewise, Location: Portland House, Sheffield S3 8UG.

Overview

Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, with evening and weekend work on a rota basis. Contract: Permanent. Salary: £25,877.80–£34,240.03 per annum (full earning potential). The salary listed reflects the full earning potential for this role. Starting salaries depend on experience and progression within the band.

Waythrough is a mental health and social support charity formed in 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship.

Responsibilities

Provide support and advice to individuals in Criminal Justice settings who are experiencing problematic substance use. Promote harm reduction, encourage ownership, and support positive change for individuals, their families, and the wider community. Work in partnership with police, probation, the Learning and Diversion team, prisons, and other agencies to offer tailored interventions from harm reduction and brief interventions to structured treatment. Deliver a whole‑person, holistic approach that addresses all areas of wellbeing, not just substance use.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of and ability to implement interventions including brief interventions, MI, PSIs, CBT and ITEP.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Criminal Justice Services.
  • Knowledge of harm reduction approaches.
  • Experience delivering 1‑2‑1 and group therapeutic interventions.
  • Police and prison vetting required.
