**About the Role**

We are seeking a qualified Independent Prescriber to deliver clinical and prescribing services within our Criminal Justice drug and alcohol service at Waythrough. You will provide evidence-based treatment, including prescribing (including controlled drugs), clinical assessments, and recovery-focused care across hub and outreach settings. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll support individuals with complex needs, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred interventions in line with national guidance and clinical governance standards.

**Key Duties**

  • Undertake clinical assessments and prescribe in line with best practice.
  • Develop and review person-centred care plans.
  • Deliver BBV testing, immunisation (including Hep B) and harm reduction interventions.
  • Liaise with pharmacists and GPs to support shared care arrangements.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to audit and governance processes.
  • Participate in CPD, supervision and service improvement activities.

**About You**

You will be a registered Nurse or Pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber qualification and RCGP Level 1 (Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards). You’ll have experience delivering substance misuse treatment, strong knowledge of harm reduction and BBV management, and confidence working within primary care and criminal justice settings.
